What is Enlighten® Evolution?

Enlighten® Evolution is a teeth whitening system that uses both a home-based treatment, and an in-chair power bleaching treatment to produce fantastic results. Our patients are consistently impressed with just how much brighter their teeth appear after Enlighten® Evolution, and we’re proud to have partnered with them.

How does Enlighten® Evolution work?

After your initial consultation with us here at Ringway Dental you will then be fitted for your bespoke teeth whitening trays for the home-based part of the treatment. This will involve having a scan or impression of your mouth.

You will then wear the trays with the Enlighten® Evolution whitening gel of your choice for roughly two weeks. Enlighten® Evolution have developed a day and night formula, which means you can choose to wear your trays either overnight, or for up to two hours a day. For the formula to be effective, it is best if you wear your trays either every day or every night.

Once the home-based treatment has been completed, you’ll come back into the practice for your in-chair treatment. This is a quick treatment that normally only takes between 40-60 minutes. The home-based treatment will have helped prepare your teeth for this part of the treatment, making them both less sensitive and more receptive to the in-chair treatment.

What are the results from Enlighten® Evolution like?

While we can’t predict results for each individual patient, Enlighten® Evolution does have a high success rate and can help produce teeth up to 16 shades whiter.

How long do the results last?

This will vary from patient to patient and depend on lifestyle and diet choices, as well as overall dental care. Many patients report brighter teeth as a result of this treatment for up to three years after the initial treatment. We can offer advice on how best to prolong the results, from better oral healthcare, to using Enlighten® Evolution toothpastes and serums.
